About the WBL Online Community Website
This is a community-driven website which brings together members of the Work-Based Learning Community from the West Midlands, and throughout the UK for both e-learning and occupational skills development.
This site runs on an ePortfolio and Social Networking platform called Mahara. By using this site you are learning how to use a state of the art ePortfolio system but at the same time have access to social networking facilities that allow you to collaborate with your peers and discuss issues related to e-learning best practice and delivery.
The site is also to be used by Communities of Practice who have an interest in sharing and developing best practice ideas related to their particular occupational sector. Some people are pursuing a qualification, but most users are simply enjoying the experience of working with others who have similar interests to themselves.
Why not get started by viewing our getting going with Mahara and WBL Online page. This will show you how to use the basic features of this site and suggest some groups for you to join. For more information you can read about Mahara or alternatively please feel free to Contact Us.
